Welcome to our Ascension Day service. Here is the Collect, or special prayer for Ascension Day and also the first set of prayer points for this “10 Days of Prayer” in our Diocese. May God bless us all through this service and over the coming days.
Grant, we pray, Almighty God,
that as we believe your only-begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ
to have ascended into the heavens;
so we in heart and mind may also ascend
and with him continually dwell;
who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Prayer Points
* That our hearts would be lifted up towards the risen, ascended Lord during these 10 days of prayer
* That the prayers of the Church this Ascensiontide would lead, by God’s grace, to disciples growing deeper in their relationship with the Lord
* That the witness of our 10 days of prayer would lead people to ask questions that lead to them coming to faith in Christ the Lord.
