Welcome

UPDATED NOTICE 24.02.21 – The following is a link to our Diocesan website and the joint statement made by the Bishops of the northern dioceses. You may have already seen this in the news or elsewhere, but I thought it important and appropriate that we share it on our Facebook pages and website. At least we know how things stand for the next few weeks and it may be that we can have services in church for Easter (as well as online), but meanwhile we keep praying and doing what we can.

Bishops’ Statement

Weddings and Funerals under appropriate guidelines can still go ahead.
Our Sunday Worship will continue to be online only for at least the next few weeks, until at least 1st April. The service will be posted about 11am each Sunday on Facebook and also on this website. Christ Church Carrowdore also has a YouTube channel. My contact details are on the website and I can easily reached if needed. I would also encourage you to share this information so that all who need to can know what’s happening. Please stay in touch with each other, continue to pray for each other, our communities and our nation. God bless

As Lent is now here we will be sharing each day, for 40 days, a short reflection by Bishop David using the Old Testament book of Nehemiah. These will begin with the sermon in our online Ash Wednesday Holy Communion Service at 7pm on Wed 17th Feb.
You can access each day’s reflection by following
the drop down menu ‘Lent 2021’ above and the new reflection for each day will be added between 9am-10am that day so you can access it whenever is convenient for you. This will also be the case for posting the reflections each day on the Facebook pages of both churches.

PLEASE NOTE – General Vestry Registers for both our Churches are now OPEN. And will remain so for new applications until Sunday 28th February. Please see this link for details.

The couple of informal videos (one for each church) that I made previously, showing the building and helping you to know what to expect, will still be relevant when we return to ‘in-building’ worship so please check them out if you haven’t already. I hope they are helpful. Thank you and God bless.

Many people have been asking about what they do about their weekly offering etc. and how is the church coping financially. I have initially been reluctant to put up anything that could be construed as asking for money as we are more concerned about peoples’ well being etc., especially during a time such as this, but in order to answer the questions and give advice I hope this information is helpful.
