Day 7 – Prayer Focus: A Praying Diocese

Day 7 of our Diocesan “10 Days of Prayer” – Prayer Focus: ‘A Praying Diocese’
Prayers and prayer points are followed by a video of Bishop David’s message re ‘A Praying Diocese’

…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Let us pray:
Almighty God, Father of all, you call your Church to humble prayerfulness;
grant that this Dioceses of Down and Dromore may be filled with voices united in seeking your face.
Lord, hear our prayer.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

Risen, ascended Lord, you call your Church to prayer in all things;
grant that each one who comes to you may indeed the know relief from anxiety that your peace brings.
Lord, hear our prayer.

…pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:18)

Empowering Spirit, God in our lives, you call your church to pray for one another;
Grant that our hearts may be moved to lift one another before your throne in earnest petition.
Lord, hear our prayer.
